Augmented Reality/Software Development Interview Experience

Process

I was contacted by HR during the third week of December, asking for an interview schedule. I scheduled it for January 7th, 2013.

I had two rounds of interviews, and both went well. It was entirely a software-based position, even though my background is in Electrical Engineering. My only relevant experience was an undergraduate project on AI, which is likely why this team contacted me.

I could answer most of the programming questions, as the interviewers were straightforward. The usual suspects appeared, including virtual functions, strings, and hashing.

Both interviewers started by reviewing my resume, then moved directly to software and coding questions.

I was asked if I was ready to take up a position on Android development, for which they were seeking candidates. I had mild doubts about this, and perhaps that impacted my overall interview.
