Digital ASIC Design Interview Experience - San Diego, California

November 1, 2012
Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

One phone interview followed by three 1:1 onsite interviews.

Two design groups and one verification group.

Questions covered FIFO, STA, projects, architecture, cache, Perl, C, C++, analog circuits, and IQ.

Primarily basic digital design questions and project discussions based on your resume. Two of the three interviewers were very nice and asked for as much detail as possible. Therefore, prepare well.

Questions

The design group people were very nice.

In the verification group, I was asked questions about knowledge from undergraduate school, such as communication principles and analog circuits.

I had almost forgotten the communication principles, but the interviewer kept asking.

I kind of disliked this person.

They also asked some C++ questions.
