Process

I applied through their company website. A staffing member called me and told me that there would be a telephonic interview after two days. The telephonic interview lasted for about 30 minutes. Then, after two days, they mailed me to come for an onsite, face-to-face interview. They told me to choose a suitable date for myself. They also mentioned that they would reimburse flight tickets (economy class) and cab charges.

Questions

Telephonic Interview (30 minutes) He asked questions on everything that is there in my resume.

First Interviewer (1.5 hours) He started with my M.Tech project. Then he concentrated on channel coding. He asked C programs. If a bitstream is transmitted and gets corrupted, resulting in some errors, write a C program to find which bitstream was transmitted if you have the original and corrupted signals.

Second Interviewer (1 hour) He asked some basic questions on Signal Processing and a basic question on the conditional operator.

Third Interviewer (30 minutes) He asked me about channel coding, source coding, and FIR and IIR filters. I asked him a question at the end. He did not listen to my question properly and asked me who taught me Digital Communication.

Fourth Interviewer (1.5 hours) He was really nice. He asked me about my B.Tech project and compiler design. He asked me about receiver types and examples of orthonormal basis functions. He also asked a basic reasoning question, though I don't remember it. Among all the interviewers, he was the most supportive.

Fifth Interviewer (1.5 hours) By this time, I was fully tired. He asked me what I knew, then questioned me about source coding, channel coding, modulation techniques, interleaving, and Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC). He also asked me about the use of the "static" keyword and for a C program to find a given number in an array. I was fully exhausted and could not concentrate properly.

Overall, it was a good experience. They did not give me any feedback for two months. After I emailed them twice, they replied that the feedback was negative.
