I applied for different positions two months ago.
I received an email for setting up a phone interview.
The phone interview lasted an hour. Most of the questions were from my background, and there was only one simple technical question, or at least that's what I thought.
I wrote the solution in under a minute. However, the interviewer kept asking more and more questions in detail and also made me solve it using another method. I explained how post-increment works, yet he just didn't understand and kept arguing.
Finally, he noticed a bug which he didn't find at first glance, and his tone just went down.
Overall, this was a waste of time on my end, considering all the time I spent studying, only to argue about what I told him was true.
On the other hand, the HR department (for once) didn't keep me waiting for an answer for more than a week.
How post-increment works.
