Someone from HR contacted me with the position details. A couple of hours later, the interviewer contacted me with a couple of time slot options for the phone interview. The phone interview went really well, and I was told it would take a week for someone to contact me with the next step.
I followed up after a week, but HR was very unresponsive to my emails. About 10 days after the initial phone interview, they mentioned an on-site request. I hadn't received any email after the interaction with the HR rep and had to follow up with them. I learned that there was no on-site request, but there would be another phone interview by the team.
I followed up with HR after 5 days to ask if the position was still open, to which I was told yes. They said a person from the team would contact me to schedule the interview. A day after the second round of interview was scheduled, the team member called and said the position had been cancelled.
I felt really disappointed about the whole process and the lack of coherency in the team, as well as a very unresponsive HR who could not act as the bridge. I had to cancel a doctor's appointment for the interview, and they simply called up and said they wanted to cancel the interview. It took me a couple of days to get back to my regular routine. I felt this was really unprofessional.
