Process

I was interning in the summer.

I had six interviews on my last day.

They tried to cover all areas of the ASIC design flow, including data structures and basic algorithms; nothing too complicated.

Questions

  1. Draw a Finite State Machine (FSM) for recognizing a particular sequence.

  2. Computer Architecture:

    • Caches, Coherency protocols (MOESI, MOSI, etc.)
    • Pipelining: pros and cons.
  3. Basic C questions:

    • memcpy
    • Linked lists, etc.
  4. Timing violations and how to fix them.
