This was one of the worst interview processes I've experienced.
I was initially mapped to the GPU team, where I had three rounds of technical interviews. These covered OS, C++, hardware, and coding, and I found them to be great. The interviewers were helpful.
The HR then started to discuss my salary expectations. Since they were unable to meet my (already reduced) base expectations, they asked me to sit for another interview for the ML team, which they called a "techno-managerial round."
This interviewer was an absolute disgrace. He had zero communication skills, picked up questions from GeeksforGeeks, and showed a poor reaction when I made some syntax mistakes. Who asks coding questions in a techno-managerial round that aren't at all related to core GPU/DL?
I immediately responded to the HR, stating that this round was honestly a waste of my time. Perhaps his skills lie in memorizing solutions from LeetCode, but this entire week-long process was mentally exhaustive.
If you cannot provide a candidate's CTC, please reject them before conducting meaningless interviews that have no relation to the job profile.
I would call out the names of the interviewers, but due to professional courtesy, I will not.
I would never consider Qualcomm again.
