I applied for a position at Qualcomm Careers and received a call from HR. As part of the hiring process, I initially had one coding test conducted by HackerRank. The results were informed after two days, and they asked me to come to Hyderabad for a face-to-face interview. All expenses would be borne by the company.
They had four rounds of interviews. It started at 10:30 AM and ended at 4:30 PM.
Round I: For the first round of interview, they asked mostly C questions:
Round II: They asked many coding questions. The level of questions was easy. Be prepared with OS fundamentals, RTOS, process communication, thread communication, deadlocks, and process synchronization.
Round III: They asked many logical and behavioral questions. Be prepared for behavioral and logical questions, as most people neglect this part. You may refer to "Cracking the Coding Interview" by Gayle Laakmann.
Round IV: They asked mostly about your previous projects. You can expect questions on anything mentioned in your resume.
After the interviews were done, they told me they would inform me of the feedback.
One day later, I received another call for another round of interview, which was online.
The online interview was a mix of all the previous questions, and it was moderately difficult.
Two days later, I received a call from HR saying that I was selected.
Qualcomm's interview process is not difficult. You need to be clear with C and Operating Systems, and moderately good at programming.
How to find a loop in a linked list? What is the drawback of the method?
Little endian to big endian conversion?
Application of stacks? Height of a BST?
Questions on bit manipulation. Function pointer and callback prototype. How to design APIs? What happens if we do addition on a void pointer? What happens if we include a static global variable in a header file?
