My interview consisted of technical discussions with five different individuals, one-on-one.

It was a thoroughly technical interview in which the following were asked/evaluated:

• DSP (Digital Signal Processing) fundamentals
• DSP Assembly language programming skills
• C programming skills

Questions I remember now, roughly:

• DSP: Digital filters (IIR, FIR), their applications, filter design, and DSP algorithms like autocorrelation, convolution, DFT, and FFT.
• Assembly Language Programming: Solving simple problems (square root, cube, reciprocal) using only certain assembly language mnemonic instructions (not all instructions were available).
• C Programming: Identifying errors in code, predicting code output, and writing code to solve problems like calculating factorials.

Can you write a square root algorithm in DSP assembly language as efficiently (MIPS wise) as possible?
