Process
Interviewed for a position in Corporate R&D. Skills required were C++ and Python. Was quizzed on Python initially. Told the interviewer I don't have much experience there. Was asked a whole bunch of questions on C++, including RAII and SFINAE. Had to implement a memcpy function. Did all of it quite well. Haven't heard back yet.

Pros: Good benefits.
Some projects and groups are good, but most of the work is integration work.
Open and diverse work culture.
Cons: Long hours are expected.
Unfortunately, "firefighting" has become the norm, and people are rewarded for quick fixes rather than asking why we keep fighting fires.
"Visibility" via emails and messengers is rewarded more than the real engineers who did the work.
There is a lack of overall direction right now.
Poor documentation and software practices (s/w is secondary and is treated as such).
Lateral moves are pretty difficult despite what mgmt. says.
Not great for CS majors, but good for EE.

Pros: Qualcomm is an excellent place to work for. The opportunities to learn here are pretty much unlimited.
Cons: Upper management politics can work against you. So you should follow what your manager advises.
