Qualcomm is a great company to start one's career. I applied through their career website and received a call within 3-4 days, stating, "We have openings and if you are interested, we can schedule a telephonic interview." Two days later, a telephonic call followed, asking questions from my resume and presenting debugging scenarios. It was a nice call, and the interviewer was very friendly.

After the call, the interviewer informed me that they would schedule an on-site interview in Hyderabad. Two days later, HR emailed about the on-site interview process. Qualcomm takes care of everything, from flight tickets to hotel accommodation (if needed) and airport transfer via private cab.

Upon arrival, I was escorted to the lounge and asked to wait.

In total, I had five technical interviews, one after another. The interviewers were very friendly. They started interviews by discussing my resume, followed by basic C questions, data structure questions, and then coding and puzzle questions. You should be able to optimize your program and explain your logic clearly.

After 3-5 hours of interviews, I was told, "We will most probably on-board you, and HR will start the process in one week." A week later, I received a phone call from HR asking basic HR questions. Two to three days after that, I received the offer letter.

All C questions (Data Storage, volatile keyword, Memory layout in C, memcpy and memmove, etc.).

In Data Structures:

• Basic stack operations
• How to make a queue out of a stack and how many stacks are required
• Linked lists

In Operating Systems:

• Thread vs. Process
• Which memory layout can threads share?
• Multicore process working

Coding Questions:

1. Array with only 0s and 1s: Find the first index of 1 with optimization.
2. String reverse using a linked list.
3. An array with duplicate numbers: Find those numbers with optimization.
4. A simple array with all numbers: Find the median value and sort the array in a fashion like (even numbers, middle median, odd numbers with and without optimization and with a single array).

Interviews progress from easy to difficult. If you don't know an answer, please say 'no' and don't lie.
