Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Diego, California

Process

I was contacted for a phone interview after more than two months.

In technical and professional terms, I don't think it's generally polite for an interviewer to be eating snacks with his mouth open during an interview.

As a non-CS major, I didn't do so well in the technical part, and the interviewer's impatience and frequent, annoyed attitude didn't help. What was supposed to be an hour-long interview lasted only 10 minutes, with him asking me to email the answers.

In reply, he simply said, "Good luck with your job search."

I wouldn't mind a slight lack of professionalism, but this was just beyond rude. This experience confirms all the negative reviews regarding the interviewers' impolite behavior.
