Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Diego, California
Process
Interview is very easy. No one at Qualcomm has time to even breathe, let alone time to prepare what to ask in the interview. No one has used data structures or algorithms here for a long time so you can rest assured that you know better than them. Just prepare algos and data structures anyways because those are the only questions they can ask right off the internet by skimming through just minutes before the interview.

Qualcomm Work Experiences
- 5.0Great Intern ExperienceSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeSan Diego, California, United StatesNovember 17, 2016Pros: The HR department is amazing in that they organize a ton of intern events throughout the summer. Everything is always so organized, and you can always find something to do in San Diego. Also, having the Executive Speaker Series was a nice opportunity to hear what executives have to say about the company and what their plans are for the future.Cons: The workplace itself is still old-school and they don't promote collaboration, which is a bummer. Intern work could be more innovative, which would increase retention in interns.
- 4.0Innovative Work, Long HoursSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSan Diego, California, United StatesApril 1, 2021Pros: Innovative & challenging work, good benefits.Cons: Long work hours. Overall, I like my colleagues; however, you would find one or two people to ruin your experience.
- 5.0Learn Much, Work HardSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSan Diego, California, United StatesSeptember 24, 2024Pros: A great place to learn new things.Cons: A lot of pressure and low work-life balance.
