I applied to Qualcomm online in September and got a phone interview after three days. The phone interview took 45 minutes and it went well. I was invited to an on-site interview at the end of the phone interview.

Discussed the resume and asked basic questions about memory allocation, deallocation, and garbage collection.

Pros: 1. The company cares for its employees.
2. Stable job.
3. Great perks and bonuses.
4. Smart co-workers.
5. Opportunity to learn a lot and work with the best resources.
6. Promotions are fair.
7. Nice location, especially if you are in San Diego.
Cons: 1. Sometimes work can be stressful, especially before important releases or if there are customer issues. However, this practice is consistent across the industry.
2. Some leads are nearing retirement and are hopeless, making you hopeless as well.
3. Other than this, I can't think of any.

Pros: San Diego is so nice.
* The benefits used to be good.
* It used to have lots of smart people.
* Nice campus.
Cons: 1. Tons of "managers" get paid by just pushing people and sending status reports.
2. Not a place for software engineers (since they call everything a "script").
3. Low, low, low pay.

Pros: You get to learn a lot. They give you enough time to learn and implement your knowledge. There are treasure troves of knowledge everywhere; you just need to learn to use them to improve yourself.
Cons: HR is really good at undercutting people if they know your worth.
