Allows movement between teams rather smoothly. Get to work on latest features of AI, albeit 6ish months after the fact, but still.
Depending on the team you are working with, you may find poor management with negligible technical knowledge.
Some of them can't even come up with a design proposal if their lives depend on it.
They will just blame their engineers when something goes wrong and take credit when things go right.
You might want to look at your staff and senior staff engineers again. Some of them don't even deserve to be there.
