Good salary with good stocks and dividends.
Work pressure is high. Managers expect to work even at 12 AM at night, and that too on Friday. Work-life balance is a huge problem in Development teams. Testing and Customer Engineering are chilled out. Not much brain work; just manual work. Everything is already done; just run automation and forward errors to the Developer. And the same salary, no discrimination between test and development, that is the worst part at Qualcomm. So, if you are a Developer or Firmware Engineer, you don't get any respect in front of the Test or Customer Engineering team.
At least have some differentiation among the Development team and testing team. Developer work is more intense compared to the manual work that the test team is doing.
The overall interview process was good and completed in one day. The interview comprised of three rounds, with the last one being a managerial round. Questions varied from medium to hard, and most were related to pointers.
Round 1: Online technical (Level 1) Round 2: Face-to-face interview at Qualcomm office location (3-4 hours) discussion with multiple Qualcomm senior employees. In Round 2, I got two coding questions on arrays and a few questions on pointers and str
Focus on DSA about heaps and linked lists, reverse linked lists, top K elements, and heavy grilling on projects and previous experience, so prepare well in advance. All the best to everyone who is reading this.
