Good teams with reasonable expectations of work, nice people, understanding when you choose to take time off, and will always okay your time off requests. Good benefits, no micromanaging.
Low pay/monetary compensation relative to other software companies, especially when compared to the amount of work given. There are low raises, no salary negotiation, and an expectation of overtime with no compensation. Late-night meetings are frequent due to collaboration with Indian teams. There are not many opportunities for promotion either.
Make normal AR raises higher, instead of waiting for mass inflation to give a proper raise. Not negotiating salary only works when you get high raises. Give larger bonuses as well. Promote people more often. I appreciate that the new CEO seems to understand this, but only time will tell if this is merely a band-aid or an actual attempt to improve compensation.
I had one telephone interview which went well. I was asked a few questions based off of my resume and the projects I have worked on. Then there were a few questions on C++ OO concepts and a programming question to find if a given number is a perfect
It was a phone interview. The interviewer asked me about my background and relevant current technologies. Then we dived into technical questions about operating systems, data structures, and coding questions in C.
Overall, the interview process was smooth. It included a mix of software and resume-based questions. The interviewers were good to talk to. Make sure to review your basic C++ concepts and practice system design basics.
