Great support for practicing world-class engineering (library, tools, etc.), plus great support for healthy living (on-site clinic, gyms, healthy food, sick days as needed, etc.), work-life balance, and community support (volunteering, charity contribution support, etc.).
Great campus environment (farmers market, festivals, fairs, etc.).
Great learning opportunities (courses on-campus, streamed, and/or on-demand are available).
It is a big company in a very competitive and rapidly changing industry. You have to be and stay on top of your game. Qualcomm gives you plenty of support, but you have to deliver. You also have to put in some effort to find the right fit for your skills or grow into a new position/role as projects and/or goals change.
It is a big company, so it would be nice to have a structured internal exchange program to get engineers exposed to other departments and bring with them best practices and technologies.
Interviewed for the position of DFT Engineer. It was more of a discussion rather than an interview, with questions related to DFT Architecture, such as: * DFT clocking * Scan partitioning * Scan wrapping
5 rounds of technical interviews. Some related to coding and others mostly related to profile. All the interviews ensured the candidate had strong fundamentals. Subsequently, HR offered and gave enough time to accept the offer.
The interview was telephonic and on-site. I had a telephonic interview of nearly three hours with five people. Each person conducted an interview for 30 minutes, mostly technical with a few general questions. It was a very lengthy process.
