Front End Web Developer Interview Experience - Dublin, Dublin

February 1, 2015

Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

On-site interview: a series of tech interviews followed by several phone interviews. Interviewers were very nice and easy to talk to. The tech interviews weren't too difficult; a quick brush-up online of standard JavaScript interview questions and I was good to go. Didn't get the position in the end due to lack of management experience.

Great company that has slowed down after being privatized

Software Engineer II • Current Employee

September 4, 2024

Pros: The company is pretty good in terms of compensation & benefits (breakfast and a catered lunch in the office, snacks around the clock, and a vacation bonus are some highlights) on the Kraków market. Inclusivity is also a plus if that matters to you. There are a lot of events as well. The office is in a nice location and well furnished.

Cons: Promotion cycles got reduced to once a year. Sentiment around senior leadership is in the gutter. The company has focused on cutting costs in recent times to increase profit for shareholders that got bought by SilverLake. It is hard to get buy-in for new features, forget about getting more employees in an older team. The company employs a hybrid model where 3 days in the office per week are required, including Monday, Tuesday, and one other. If you work in engineering, there is a mandatory OnCall rotation to join that lasts 24h.
