Cons

Inexperienced managers promoted to general manager roles who do not even know how to manage teams. Lots of commotion and skirmishes creating a toxic workplace. No clear goals and roadmap. No vision for what the project will look like in the next 2 to 5 years. Managers are hell-bent on holding control. All projects are approved from Japan, and we have to work with Japan teams in night shifts without overtime. The 3-day office policy is killing work-life balance. No hires in the USA office. Spending time and money on unnecessary projects that no one uses after 6 months. Poor quality services. Lack of talent. Senior engineers are blocked from building novel projects. Management is too novice and afraid of changes. Highly toxic workplace. Have to work with the Japan team.

Advice to Management

Have trust in your team employees. Provide freedom to perform. Have a vision. Upgrade tools and services to the latest technology. Promote experienced engineers instead of new hires. Get away with the "It's working fine, no need to update/change" kind of sentiment. In this AI era, the IT industry is transforming, so be bold and responsible to take decisions.
