This is the first company I've ever seen have two coding challenges before pressing the submit button on an application.
The first challenge was reasonably scoped and had some interesting elements. However, the second was a full-on front-end application where you were expected to fix seven bugs.
This seems appropriate after at least speaking with a human being, but it's absurd when there's a good chance your application will be sent to the void.
I indicated "will do after I talk to someone" for the second challenge after trivially completing the first, and received an automated rejection a few days later.
This situation seems to distill everything wrong with tech hiring into a single job listing.
