Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The recruiter was nice and communicative.

The process, however, was quite problematic. I was required to complete a relatively long project that was estimated to take three hours. This estimate proved inaccurate.

Following the project, there was a live coding challenge, unrelated to the take-home assignment. This challenge involved a LeetCode medium-level problem with UI elements. The interviewer was not helpful. Honestly, numerous red flags were apparent on their LinkedIn profile, which became doubly clear during the interview. They seem to have a history of not staying long enough to observe their solutions fail and learn how to fix them, and they appeared unaware of this.

Questions

The engineering team didn’t review the take-home code with me.
