The first interview with HR went very well. It was professional, friendly, and well-structured.
The second round was technical and required a prepared presentation, which I appreciated as a fair way to assess skills.
However, the final behavioral interview with two managers was disappointing. It lasted 45 minutes longer than scheduled, and both interviewers appeared disengaged and dismissive throughout.
I was told to expect feedback within two weeks but received none. After following up a month later, I got an instant rejection through an automated and impersonal email.
I spent over five hours preparing and interviewing, and a simple update or short feedback call would have shown basic respect for candidates. Please treat applicants as people, not numbers. Poor communication and lack of empathy leave a lasting negative impression.
After this experience, I would never apply for Red Hat again and would not recommend it to any of my peers.
