Compensation is good. Respect of the company is positive, and industry leading technology in several areas.
IBM is making changes to corporate culture. RH employees are being eliminated in favor of their IBM counterparts. I suspect this will happen to other acquisitions like Hashicorp. Customers do not like IBM sales teams as much as RH sales teams. IBM sales teams are not as familiar with RH software and technology as RH employees.
No need to eliminate very useful technical staff, who have value. Stop trying to make RH into IBM, since the two are opposites. The recent decline in the line item of "software sales" on IBM's recent financial statements would seem to indicate that the elimination of RH staff was a bad idea.
HR blocked the process immediately once compensation expectations were shared, as the expectations did not match their usual level for the country I am living in. A first for me.
HR will call for a telephonic interview and schedule an interview within one week. The whole process will take up to 1 month. There will be 4-5 technical rounds and 1 HR round to discuss salary. They don't offer too much, but it's satisfactory.
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter shortly after applying. After this, the recruiter was very hard to reach. After the recruiter, I had a total of four interviews: one hiring manager interview, two technical discussions, and one coding
