Initial 30-minute talk with the recruiter: general questions, friendly, and polite interviewer.
Afterwards, there were some delays in communication due to the pandemic situation. No objections regarding recruiter communication.
Second round: unexpectedly, it was a system design interview with a very absent and definitely not in a great mood interviewer. During the interview, I was expecting some interaction with the interviewer to understand if I was moving in the right direction. There was complete silence, only answers to my questions.
No questions from the interviewer, once again, total absence.
Within 2 days, a rejection was received, with total ignorance on a follow-up email requesting detailed feedback.
Generally speaking, the technical interview was not friendly at all. I even mentioned several times about being nervous during the interview, with no reaction, no encouragement, literally nothing.
My overall experience is questionable for a company with a 4.4 rating on Glassdoor.
Under NDA, but it’s not something that you haven’t seen so far in a system design interview.
