Senior Embedded Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The recruiter interview was very good. It included a good introduction to the company, the role, and expectations.

The technical interview was not so good. The Coderpad question, in my opinion, could not be solved in the 45 minutes allotted. One of the two interviewers clearly didn't want to be there. They paid absolutely no attention and only looked up from their phone at the very end to point out an error in my pseudocode that I had already pointed out and explained how I would solve if there was more time.

There was no opportunity at the start of the interview to introduce myself, and no opportunity at the end for me to ask any questions.

I would not have accepted an offer if they had made one based on this experience.

Questions

Essentially, to implement a 4-function calculator. The input format and some of the rules for computation made it a bit more challenging.
