Poorly scoped project. As a developer, I spent a lot of time going around, asking people about expectations towards new features and projects. In my opinion, it should be the responsibility of the Product Owner, not developers. Since I do not like this part of the job, I struggled a lot.
Fired because of underperformance in the middle of the Covid outbreak. It was difficult to understand because the interview process took more or less one month, and they waited an extra few months before I turned up in the office. I was let go without being informed in advance that I was falling behind expectations and was expected to improve.
It is not a 9 to 5 job.
People are extremely busy, and you will probably never receive any help from your mates if it does not help them achieve KPIs.
They pay very well for delivering the final product, not for slacking in the office. If you have managed to secure a tech position in Revolut, you should not be afraid of being fired during a normal job market because you will easily end up in another company in no time.
As the CEO said in some interview, this is a company meant for people that are ready to work their bottom off and sacrifice their leisure time in exchange for stocks. This could potentially set you up for life if Revolut shares skyrocket someday.
