I went through all four rounds of interviews.
All these rounds involved being asked the same question repeatedly. Initially, I thought they were being thorough and wanted to ensure I understood the role. However, the hiring manager then continuously asked if I was prepared for the challenges.
I presented my reasons for being a good fit and used multiple examples. Yet, round after round, he kept emphasizing how tough the job is. This made me feel inadequate, despite explaining how my prior experience and passion for challenges would enable me to succeed.
The manager appeared inattentive, looking elsewhere and laughing during my explanations. I felt disrespected.
The last engineer I spoke with indirectly indicated that this manager struggles to perform his job effectively. Ultimately, I felt like I dodged a bullet.
