The company is producing good vehicles with nice technology.
Company only wants to hire friends. Positions for management are not posted. There is no work-life balance. Bullying and retaliation occur. Managers lack experience.
The management staff at Rivian is very poor and leads by bullying and belittling. They place non-experienced people in leadership positions who have never managed before, leading a build of a vehicle, and do nothing to help their issues. They do not post internal positions and continue to bring in their friends for high-level positions.
Room for advancement is non-existent, and the HR department is also very entry-level with no action on issues that need addressing. Nothing can be done in fear of retaliation.
There is no work-life balance, and management makes decisions that are rash and based on emotion, while hindering the processes in place and not communicating changes. They lead by chaos.
Sadly, this company is outsourcing all of their work to China and other countries, and vendors are treated very poorly with unfair business practices. This entire review is agreed upon by over 25 or more local employees and many more in Illinois, but they continue to manage and get away with these actions. I do not recommend this company, as they keep telling the team to stay for the stocks, saying they could do as well as Tesla and will be rich.
