Pros

There was a time when we were a team and working on impactful products. We had a lot to learn and grow. It was an exciting time when CMP was still CMP.

Cons

When CMP came under vehicle software management, we became second-class citizens. The director cared less about the team, giving no direction or guidance, and expecting the team to fail. He personally fired people to save more money for other team members. You received no severance, no healthcare, nothing, after two years of working hard, moving across the country, and going through a divorce.

Advice to Management

Don't backstab your own people. If you want them to quit, just be clear about it and give them time to find new opportunities.
