The interview process took 6 weeks from start to finish. It would have likely been 4 if not for holiday-induced delays.
The recruiter was professional and responsive.
The take-home problem was well-designed, not tedious, and had a high skill ceiling.
The on-site consisted of 1 coding, 1 system design, and 2 manager interviews. The on-site was uneventful.
Next was a VP interview, followed by a committee review.
Based on my experience, it seems that Roblox is looking for three things:
Technical questions weren’t out of the ordinary. Manager interviews were mostly conversational and not super scripted. Some behavioral questions will take you off script, so you’ll have to think on your feet.
Being able to think on your feet and communicate genuinely while still being professional is important here.
