Final Round: Design questions related to my resume and a contrived coding screen via CoderPad.
The design questions went well, although one of the interviewers seemed not to answer my initial question on requirements for one problem, which led me down the wrong direction. However, I course-corrected.
The coding round was one of the worst I've ever experienced. The question would have been easy had the interviewer not talked over me and sighed the entire time. Five minutes into the call, as I was talking through my solution before coding, he essentially said I should stop talking and start coding. Shocked, I went with the simple, naive solution per his instructions and failed some cases at the end. I believe the interviewer didn't even know the language I was interviewing in, which was disappointing as it's the most used language in the industry. I found out later he was a PM, which is disturbing that they couldn't find a software engineer to interview me.
