Process
Pretty typical interview process; however, the interview was conducted via Karat. They were incredibly unprofessional, failing to provide logistics for the interview in a timely manner and also failing to provide any follow-up information following the interview. I reached out again for an update only to be met with radio silence. It was like attempting to have correspondence with a rock.

Roblox Work Experiences
- 2.0Employee Work ExperienceSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSan Mateo, California, United StatesOctober 30, 2023Pros: Interesting product. Nice coworkers. Good pay.Cons: As the company and tech stack has grown, we spend more and more time on process issues (setup tasks, tooling, broken builds, trying to understand old undocumented code, secret knowledge) and less time just building new features. Leadership reneged on its commitment to allow remote work. This shows a lack of respect, a lack of empathy, and a lack of integrity.
- 4.0Friendly work environmentSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeSeptember 7, 2025Pros: Open space, lots of accommodation.Cons: Too big of a work team.
- 1.0Good Workplace but..Software Engineer • Former EmployeeMarch 15, 2018Pros: Nice co-workers Free snacks Decent salary Management was pretty niceCons: I'm not sure if I'm the only person who has experienced this or if other women have also experienced the same thing. I have seen other women getting harassed in the workplace. I have been sexually assaulted in the restroom.
