I originally interviewed for the Front-end Software Engineer position.
It started with a front-end technical screen. We talked introductions for about 5-10 minutes, and then hopped into a React coding question. The coding question was a 5-6/10 difficulty.
After that, I proceeded to the on-site interviews, which consisted of 5 back-to-back sessions that took up about 5.5 hours total. There were:
The system design interview was a little tough, but my interviewer worked with me to get through it. Two of the technical interviews were moderately difficult, again a 6/10, and then one of the technical interviews was a 7-8/10 difficulty.
The cultural interview was more relaxed and basically involved the interviewer asking "tell me about a time" questions.
After the on-site (a couple of days later), I received a message from the recruiter stating that the position I applied for had been filled. However, they wanted to offer me a role on a different team as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
This led to another cultural interview with the team manager I would be reporting to if I joined. It was very relaxed again and felt more like a "get to know you" session than an actual interview.
Following that interview, I transitioned into the offer and background check stages.
The offer took a couple of days to finalize, and then the background check took about 2 weeks.
Overall, it was a pretty stressful process (as most interviews are), but the company demonstrated great communication and prioritized keeping me informed.
