Mobile Software Developer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

January 1, 2016
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I had three different Skype interviews with three different groups. I was given a programming test, which I submitted and was then reviewed by a fourth person. This was followed up by two full-day onsite interviews. These resulted in no offer from the company.

Most questions asked were rather easy; none required much thinking. I happen to be an engineer over 50, and some of the people interviewing me were in their first job. I was never given any indication as to why there was no offer after having me talk to close to 10 engineers at Salesforce. I don't know if this was in order to fulfill their quota of talking to "older" engineers. I have heard of the exact same experience from two other older engineers with great backgrounds.

Hence, I am writing this review. If you are an older engineer, I would think twice about applying to Salesforce. There are plenty of other opportunities.
