Senior Automation Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The interview process involved:

  • 1st round: Sr. Director
  • 2nd round: 2 hours coding (remote programming)
  • 3rd round: Virtual onsite - 4 hours, different interviews

Though Salesforce was one of my dream companies, my experience with their interview process was the worst ever. Except for the 2nd round, no one asked me a single technical question relevant to any of my skills. All panels kept asking me very generic, yet almost identical questions, which I am 100% sure I answered well, as I have had good hands-on experience in those areas for 6-7 years. I was very positive that I would get an offer, but they rejected me without any apparent reason. Throughout the process, I realized they (or perhaps some interviewers) didn't even know what they were looking for. After all this, I felt it was a total waste of my time; I had actually taken a day off for this interview.
