Applied online. I received a call from the recruiter, who explained the role and the team for which the position was open. She asked some questions about my skill sets and then scheduled a telephonic interview.
The phone interview covered my current role, some design questions, and basic technical questions. The interviewer also explained their team roster and the modules on which they work. I received an update after two days.
Next was a remote programming round. I was given a problem statement and two hours to solve it. The coordinator explained the criteria for evaluating the solution, which included the use of proper design patterns, data structures, scaling, efficiency, and completeness. At the end of the test, the coordinator discussed the solution and asked what else I could have done with more time.
Next was an on-site round, which consisted of multiple rounds covering various aspects like coding, design, quality, and scalability. The overall difficulty level was medium. The final round was a lunch/personal interview where I was given sufficient time to ask questions, discuss my interests, and understand why I was interested in Salesforce. Overall, it was a very good discussion.
The overall coordination from the recruiter was excellent. I can definitely say that it was one of the best interview experiences I've had so far.
Under NDA, so I can't explain much. The interview focused on data structures, OOP concepts, system design, quality, scalability, and performance.
