I applied through an employee referral. The process was straightforward, with an initial phone screen and then a full day onsite, talking to five engineers and the hiring manager. Questions focused on data structures, algorithms, and system design. I also discussed my current projects and motivation. I was introduced to promising projects they are doing at Salesforce. I feel comfortable with my experience, and the people were nice and friendly.

I was asked about the life cycles of various objects and the exact size of a critical section. These questions were fun and interesting.

I didn't receive this level of detail in my other interviews, so I found them somewhat unexpected.
