Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience

Process

The recruiting coordinator and senior manager were very unorganized. I had my interview rescheduled about three times in one day. This was alright because it was going to be about three to five days in advance. Then they told me my interview would be the very next day because the senior manager was going to be out of town. I could not make it because it was too last minute, and I had exams to study for.

The senior manager never showed up for the interview but did give me a call. My phone had died about 15 minutes before the interview, so that was my fault. Apparently, she wanted to call and say she couldn't make it.

I emailed the recruiting coordinator, explaining what happened. After the no-show, I received an email stating they were not going to go through with my candidacy. Then, the recruiting coordinator told me he would reschedule the interview.

This whole experience was a mess and very unorganized. Why don't you hire someone that can actually show up to an interview instead of canceling last minute? It was a waste of my time.
