The interview process was very haphazard. The recruiter did not communicate well and would occasionally flood my inbox with random interview timings without consulting me about my availability.
The team interviewing me had no idea if they had a free spot on the team. Once I passed the tough technical test, they passed my resume around to other teams, which started another round of random interview setups without consultation.
Onsite: Once I cleared all the tests and they decided I should come onsite, they asked me to be there in a week, indicating a hurry to fill the spot. Curiously, I did not hear from them for three weeks after the onsite interview if they were in such a hurry.
They provided one day's accommodation in a downmarket hotel and refused an extra day when requested.
The onsite interview included five rounds, including a lunch round. The interviewers asked basic CS questions and definitions, as if that would test my technical skills. The interviewers were rude, yawning, and messaging on their phones. One interviewer even left the interview to talk to his wife about their post-interview plans.
Are you kidding me? I traveled five hours by flight to be there, and they couldn't even give me 45 minutes. That's incredibly disheartening and speaks volumes about their "OHANA" culture. LOL.
Don't waste people's time.
Regular sorting, different types, and basic CS definitions and differences.
