Questionable intellectual honesty.
Why not frankly state that there are limits dictated by chronological age (understandable and justifiable) for each position, instead of dismissing the candidate with a cold email "We are no longer hiring for this position" 40 days after the first interview, even though the advertisement on LinkedIn is still active and renewed?
The use of stratagems to avoid exposing oneself is a symptom of a lack of courage and a desire to conform to the masses.
