I applied on their website and got a 90-minute coding test which had a couple of challenges.
Then, I received a second email for a coding challenge, but the recruiter said it was a mistake as they didn’t realize I had completed the initial challenge.
Next, I had an introductory call with the recruiter. She almost forgot that I took the test, but I was still scheduled for a technical call.
During the technical call, the interviewer asked standard front-end questions, so if you're exposed to front-end development, you should be fine.
I then had a call with a manager who asked behavioral questions. A couple of weeks later, I had another manager call with behavioral questions.
After that, I received a rejection email because the company was getting acquired by Salesforce, which was a shock since I had already completed several rounds.
However, I got a call from the recruiter apologizing for the rejection and stating that, given the positive feedback, they wanted to continue the process.
So, I had an interview with another engineer, which essentially allowed me to ask questions about the position.
Despite this, the recruiter cited COVID-19 as the reason why I wasn’t hired.
It's unfortunate that although I was told I received positive feedback, it doesn't mean anything if an offer doesn't materialize. I even asked a couple of months later if I could be considered, and she said it was possible, but I never heard back.
