Incredibly political, career growth is not tied to performance. The performance review system is incredibly poor. It feels like while working at Salesforce, you are disincentivized for working hard.
Weed out middle managers who aren’t in a position to evaluate the people they oversee. I think part of the point of management is to allocate company resources effectively by judging how good the people they oversee are at their job. If the managers weren’t previously skilled at this kind of job or don’t have pertinent experience, the quality of the system suffers tremendously.
