Seriously though, one of the VPs called me personally to tell me there was a round of layoffs and I would be affected.
They paid us till the end of the month and then gave us a generous severance.
They even set us all up with a company that specialized in helping people find jobs (and professionally re-did my resume) and allowed people access to their work computers for the rest of the month in case they needed Word or something similar.
I mean, they did let me go, which kind of stunk. But I'm not really angry.
The Hawaiian language obsession was a little weird. Maybe tone it down? Or don't; honestly, it was also kind of cute, I guess.
