Some of the Engineering leaders in the US consider India a cost center rather than a development center, which is disheartening. Site-level senior leadership, like VPs and SVPs, is missing in most of the organizations.
Hire VP+ senior leadership in India and give them a large charter to drive in a self-sufficient manner, rather than hiring engineering managers and developers in India in silos.
