Process
The interview experience with Salesforce is a class apart.
Tip: Get a reference from a Salesforce employee to have a higher chance of securing an interview opportunity.
I was referred by my friend who works at Salesforce. The very next day, I received a call from HR. They clearly explained the next steps and were super helpful whenever I had any queries.
Interview Rounds (All were Technical):
- Round 1: Hiring Manager
- Round 2: Lead Engineer
- Round 3: Lead Engineer
- Round 4: HackerRank Programming Test (2 questions, 90 minutes)
- Round 5: Director
- Round 6: Principal Engineer
All the interviewers exhibited Salesforce's core values and asked to-the-point questions. Everyone had good hands-on experience, so I enjoyed the technical conversations.
The process was smooth, and Madhu was the pivot, helping me throughout the process and making me comfortable.
During the interview process, my grandfather passed away. When I informed Madhu, he made sure the interview dates were adjusted.
Looking forward to joining Salesforce soon.

Besides that, he was trying to get a replacement for my peer, and every candidate he shortlisted was Indian. Both external and internal OOM candidates. Downright racist.
