I was hired during the pandemic, but the onboarding process was smooth. Everyone is welcoming, and the company gives you a very generous 45 days to complete your onboarding process. Their overall compensation package is competitive. There are a lot of learning opportunities.
As a Canadian-based employee, you get 15 days PTO to start that includes sick and vacation time. You wish the pandemic will change sick leave policy, but not yet at Salesforce. They offer extra time off only if it is COVID-related. They offer a Leave of Absence for long-term, but for all short-term absence, you need to use your PTO.
Introduce FTO program outside the USA, or give employees a better sick time package when they need a day or two here and there. Without such a policy, it will encourage people to work while they are sick, potentially spreading germs to others.
