General work-life balance - (may be interrupted depending on the team you're in).
Good transportation network across NCR.
Employees you'd actually have to work with, across teams, are usually nice and helpful.
Lots to learn, if you're interested enough to read code properly.
Not much software or tasks to develop.
Management lacks spine to stand up to HQ. The opinion of HQ is to be set in stone. Similarly, opinions of engineers don't matter until they are re-iterated by HQ, and then management would actually believe them.
Disparate salaries for freshers from different colleges for essentially the same work. Experienced engineers have lower salaries than new joiners.
Hard work doesn't pay off for freshers (or anyone) if you're not in a position of importance. Reasons will always be cited as bell-curve maintenance.
Try fixing compensation based upon job profile and not college.
Upper management (apart from a handful) lacks technical understanding. Not sure how you could fix that.
I was called by the recruiter. The initial screening was through a telephonic interview. It consisted of usual Java questions, a couple of questions on threads, data structures, etc. This was followed by a face-to-face onsite interview at Bangalore.
Interview process: * Written test: 30 minutes * Face-to-face interview: 30 minutes * Telephonic interview: 1 hour Main topics covered: * System software * Linux kernel * Symmetric multiprocessing * Memory management * Process sched
One written round was followed by one technical round, which was not more than 30 minutes. After that, there was one HR round, which was very casual. The overall process was completed in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
