Senior Software Engineer Python Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Process

One of my worst experiences recently. The panel seemed totally careless and had already made up their minds not to hire a potential candidate.

I went through an interview at another semiconductor-based company. I had already completed three rounds at the consultants' office, and then I arrived at Sandisk for the client interview. The panel consisted of two people who were less interested in conducting the interview. First of all, they could not arrange a room for the interview. After struggling for half an hour, they arranged some room for five minutes.

The interviewer asked meaningless questions that had no relation to my experience or any use case.

No questions were asked about Python or any of the technologies I have worked with in the past. He asked how to apply binary search on a tree structure, while he was unaware that binary search needs to be applied on a sorted structure and not an unordered structure. The panel's ignorance was high, and their knowledge was almost zero. They also had a bad attitude.

Questions

Three classes, A, B, and C. A is inherited by B and C. I created an instance of B and want to access a variable of C, which should be a runtime constant, or something like monkey patching.

How do you implement binary search on a tree structure or on a linked list?
