The first step was to apply on the SAP job site. After the initial resume screening, I had a written test consisting of 36 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. These were related to legacy ABAP, which was quite difficult as I primarily work with modern ABAP.
The test was followed by four interview rounds:
First Round: Technical ABAP OO questions with extensive discussion on design choices and many technical queries. Difficulty: Hard. This round was conducted by two interviewers from the team I would potentially join.
Second Round: Manager round, featuring initial technical questions followed by behavioral questions. This was led by the hiring manager. Salary expectations were discussed during this interview.
Third Round: A technical round conducted by an interviewer from an external line of business team to ensure thorough vetting.
Fourth Round: HR round, focusing on the expected job profile, long-term career aspirations, and salary discussions.
